andere monjo collaborated with Abc Home store in setting an atmospherical installation to integrate both contemporary design pieces and vintage furniture which she reinterpreted and re-contextualized with hand painted illustrations.
Developing unique artworks on each piece, monjo brings singularity in a coordinated family with designs made of naturally absorbed stains
and tattoo-like pen marks. As part of the set, andere monjo collected off cuts from tree surgeons and timber workshops in East London and created a family of ‘Plum Tree Stools’ to remind the tight, instant relation between treated and untreated materials, nature and everyday objects.
